Meral Meri , A Winter's Tale

I fell in love with a man on a cold winter day.

I fell in love with the snowflakes running around the gardens.

My life was like an ant and a butterfly.

I loved sunsets and the silence of the night.

I have an honest heart.

I liked to take care of the land, but not as much as a farmer.

My heart has always felt like it belonged far away.

My soul was chasing the darkness.

I loved the endless rains.

But most of all I like to walk in the winter gardens.

I love anything as sacred as falling in love.

I'm one of those rare people who appreciate living as if I'm going to die someday.

I am a person who proceeds with an ordinary and pure heart.

I am a woman who belongs to silence, far from screams, always trusting in love.

Meral Meri - The Truth of Love

There was something that the woman could not tell against the sun.

That's why she could only tell everything to the moonlight.

In the rustle of poplars, in the glow of the river, in the splendor of the wind, she thought of the willow trees.

And she heard the voice of the fir tree: "Love is a light too great to be one.

Some can see it, the majority choose to kill it. I know, those whose love is great; embraces the moonlight, not the sun."

The woman nodded yes, and the wind whistled through the branches of the fir tree and drove away.

Love should be smooth, and it should be able to hear voices other than its own.

Meral Meri - A Little Blue Please

Today I have westerly winds in me.

And there are pop-up windows.

I look like a snowy garden.

I have an endless sadness inside me.

I'm not a narcissist, I'm just a little numb.

I got lost in the colorful snails.

I am very far from my mother.

In the evenings, I brew mint tea in the cherry orchards.

When I'm bored, I dream of the ocean.

I am with my lucky number.

But I feel like a pumpkin with a ruptured retina waiting for its prince in that turquoise.

Just that's it, that's all.

Meral Meri ~In the shadow of winter

I am in the shadow of the winter.

I stand in front of your house, your garden.

I am in the palm of a big giant.

I see my world, your world from here.

My children are touching my sun as much as I do.

The turning point in my life, I don't know where.

Maybe I'm at the end, maybe I'm at the beginning.

I woke up and slept so I don't know.

I am in the shade of winter.

I stand in your life and in your shadows.

I'm not like fairy tales.

I wish you to forgive me.

I am your mother, I am your father, I am your child.

I am the youngest and oldest photo of you.

I'm trying to exist like birch trees.

I am in the shade of winter.

I'm standing in front of your house, your garden.

Now don't leave me without me.

Meral Meri - Light

 Could knowledge harm happiness, Diogenes?

I am like you these days; I'm looking for people in the streets of Athens.

I am looking for Nizâmî-i Gencevî's dervish.

I am looking for you in the hanging gardens of Babylon.

I am the Macedonian king III.Alexandros I was lost in the shadows like.

I am lost in Solomon's Temple.

I got lost again on the twelve of the month Rabi al-Awwal in Medina.

In a world divided into three, I am shedding my leaves in the vacuum of the concept of innovation.

Could knowledge harm happiness, Diogenes?

Ever since I came to the courtyard of the Çırağan Beach Palace, I have always been questioning this, dear Diogenes.

"Could knowledge harm happiness?"

Meral Meri ~ A Short Night Story

Squirrel conveyed all his silence into the night.

"What are you feeling, dear squirrel?" said Butterfly softly.

Squirrel answered this question:

"The poison ivy of the past stole my future from me."

Butterfly said: Which is the past, which is the future, and which is poison?

We do not know that we just know that we are live actors in the shadow of this life.

Squirrel conveyed all his silence into the night.

The butterfly flew away in the lights of the night.

Maybe Next Year - by Merl Meri

Yes dear autumn; here we meet you again.

Yeah, I know you miss him.

Yes, of course I missed him too.

Yes I know we were collecting the last flowers from you.

But these are now hidden in that rainbow.

Tell me now! Where is God's home?

Because I want to marry him right away.

Please, please tell me now!

Where is God's home?

Meral Meri /The Air The Land And Sea

 Today I lost something ...

This was something I expected; it was the very smell of a deep and colorful ocean.

This was something the man had to show himself his kite before the sky.

He was an adult of color.

Yes I lost it today.

Who knows; maybe I had never seen, heard or spoke to him.

God only knows that.

I'm tired of those sadly married songs now ...

We need more lively, more feminine and more masculine songs.

No, this is not an official requirement ...

It is a very natural and civil need.

No, now we need not a hero, yes, we need that joyous springs now.

Who are here now?

Dear Butterfly Heart: “Letters to Heart”

Dear Butterfly Heart: “Letters to Heart”
~
I wish I lived in the sky, my God.
Because I die every day in the world.
The sky will soon become a human homeland.
I know that, my God.
These people will never be as crowded as a lime tree.
Or, it will not be as real as letters.
I know that, my God.
As much as I know nothing,  i know that.
Forgive me God, but I'm so unhappy!
Just as, l is as unhappy as an ash tree.
I know that, my God.
As much as I know nothing,  i know that.
I only have one wish from you my God: Give me a butterfly life!
Not an unhappiness like an ash tree.

The Whitefish - by Meral Meri

The Whitefish
~
I had never met a man who liked to go  fishing before.
So here.
I like fish. Especially at the end of a fishing rod.
But in real life I can never not do this.
So what I mean is, whenever I have my own choices, that person will bring me nothing but regret.
My human choices have always been bad.
I would find solace with those who chose me.
No, I always hated them.
I don't know why; I said, "Hello, how are you?"
And so those people always brought me bad luck.
Why am I so unfortunate, I have no idea.
But that's always the case.
Do you trust your own choices?
Of course about people.
Two fish were swimming in a poem.
Have you ever fished in poetry?
Let's say this is my sea of poetry ...
Do you want to swim here?
Or,
Do you want to catch a golden yellow fish?
Because I have a lot of volunteer fish in this sea of poetry.
Especially like this whitefish with a broken heart that looks far away.

To the table gathered the poets ...
A awkward dervish ...
On the right side of, the sun is gliding .
To his left is green lawns growing.
"That youth must have gone crazy!" says.
They disrupt our beautiful silence ...
They do not appreciate the value of what they have ...
They fall out like a leaf ...
My dear they disgrace technology.
They call it youth, they say.
lf you ask them, there are three or five passengers among them, or none of them." said, and the  awkward dervish walked away; Towards green trees.

The Life itself ❤ by Meral Meri

Do you know?
I normally like to talk about my problems.
You know why?
Because I take it into account and squeeze them like a lemon, and suffer deeply.
Then I pass over and laugh at him.
You know why?
Because my sadness is as valuable as my happiness.
Because I don't want to forget the sea of tears when I'm happy.
Here is the secret of my bowler hat and poppy flowers.
Both are the very thing death and life.

Goodnight - Poem by Adam Mickiewicz

Goodnight - Poem by Adam Mickiewicz
-
Goodnight! No more merriment for us today,
May angels enfold you in blue wings of cheer,
Goodnight! May your eyes ease after bitter tears,
Goodnight! May your heart's passion slumber away.

Goodnight! to moments of intimate replies,
May a charming and soothing music surround,
May it play in your ears, and whilst sleeping sound,
Let my image so delight your sleepy eyes.

Goodnight. Turn around! Place your gaze in my keep,
Permit a cheek-Goodnight!-For your butler you've clapped?
Give me your bosom to kiss-Goodnight-so strapped.

Goodnight. You have run off and you want no more.
Goodnight through the keyhole-sadly-a locked door!
Repeating 'goodnight!' I'd never let you sleep.

God permeates the whole wide world.
Yet His truth is revealed to none.
You better seek Him in yourself.

Farid ud-Din Attar -A slave's freedom

A slave's freedom

by Farid ud-Din Attar

English version by Afkham Darbandi and Dick Davis
Original Language Persian/Farsi

Loghman of Sarrakhs cried: "Dear God, behold
Your faithful servant, poor, bewildered, old--
An old slave is permitted to go free;
I've spent my life in patient loyalty,
I'm bent with grief, my black hair's turned to snow;
Grant manumission, Lord, and let me go."
A voice replied: "When you have gained release
from mind and thought, your slavery will cease;
You will be free when these two disappear."
He said: "Lord, it is You whom I revere;
What are the mind and all its ways to me?"
And left them there and then -- in ecstasy
He danced and clapped his hands and boldly cried:
"Who am I now? The slave I was has died;
What's freedom, servitude, and where are they?
Both happiness and grief have fled away;
I neither own nor lack all qualities;
My blindness looks on secret mysteries --
I know not whether You are I, I You;
I lose myself in You, there is no two."

Rainer Maria Rilke-Along the Sun-Drenched Roadside

Along the Sun-Drenched Roadside

Along the sun-drenched roadside, from the great
hollow half-treetrunk, which for generations
has been a trough, renewing in itself
an inch or two of rain, I satisfy
my thirst: taking the water's pristine coolness
into my whole body through my wrists.
Drinking would be too powerful, too clear;
but this unhurried gesture of restraint
fills my whole consciousness with shining water.

Thus, if you came, I could be satisfied
to let my hand rest lightly, for a moment,
lightly, upon your shoulder or your breast.

Rainer Maria Rilke

A Cloud withdrew from the Sky-Emily Dickinson

A Cloud withdrew from the Sky

Superior Glory be
But that Cloud and its Auxiliaries
Are forever lost to me

Had I but further scanned
Had I secured the Glow
In an Hermetic Memory
It had availed me now.

Never to pass the Angel
With a glance and a Bow
Till I am firm in Heaven
Is my intention now.

Emily Dickinson
